PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING:

All payments are to be made with PayPal. PLEASE, do not send me a PayPal payment without contacting and receiving a response from me first. Aside from the fact that I may be closed to certain services, I send invoices which detail what you are paying for and my terms and conditions. Please use the contact form or email me (editingtales25@gmail.com) first and I will follow up in an email to confirm the details, send you an invoice, and provide submission instructions.

Please note that first-chapter critiques are for a maximum of 12 pages double-spaced, size-12, Times New Roman. Please keep in mind that if your chapter is less than 12 pages it is still the same price and if you go over 12 pages, I will only read/edit up to page 12.

All editing services, aside from full manuscript critiques, are to be paid in full. For fulls, I require half of your final total up front and the rest due upon completion (please note that I am flexible and happy to discuss other options). All prices are set in USD.

All partials and fulls are based on word count. When it comes to partials, if your word count is more than the word count/page numbers shown below (under partial manuscript critiques), you will be charged for the word count.

I am a former Junior Literary Agent with Belcastro Literary Agency with previous internships at CMA, Inc. and ArtHouse Literary. I have helped close to 200 authors so far, most of which have gone on to receive full/partial requests, offers of representation, and more. Some have also pursued self-publishing/indie publishing. I have my bachelor’s and distinction in professional writing with a focus on Journalism and Public Relations from WCSU.

My turnaround times tend to vary. I wear many hats from author, to literary agent, to freelance editor, to most importantly, mother, and not in the sassy sense. I’m a mom to a silly two-year-old who always comes first. This past year was a whirlwind of sickness for him and unfortunately me which led to many setbacks in my timeline. I ask for grace and patience as I navigate all of this and please know how much your kindness and understanding is appreciated. I always keep my clients updated on any changes to my timelines.

As of right now, my tentative timelines are as follows for August 2025 (can/will change as we enter flu season):

As I mentioned, this timelines ARE subject to change but all clients will be made aware of changes. I ask for patience and understanding as my little one is in daycare where all the cooties love to breed and I, without fail, always catch his illnesses.

Also, one final note on timelines. If you send me your manuscript and then make additional changes to your story and resend it to me, the timeline will then restart. For example, if we have a ten-week turnaround and it is now week five and you send me a new draft, the ten weeks now start from the date I confirm your new draft.

Your query letter is like a first impression. It’s the first part of your submission materials that an agent reads, make it one to remember!

Writing a query letter AND the dreaded synopsis is hard work, especially if you’re trying to tackle it after just having finished writing and polishing your manuscript. A writer tends to become a little too close to their stories and feels like EVERY SINGLE DETAIL IS IMPORTANT! The truth is, it’s not.

I will read through your query letter and/or synopsis and make sure it’s tight, precise, but really driving the stakes of your story home!

In terms of your first pages, which are just as important, by the way, I will take a deep look into the pacing and flow of your story providing in-line comments, thoughts, reactions and quick summary of my thoughts in my email back to you.

Partial Manuscript Developmental Critique

Charged at .015 per word. This is a rough guesstimate in word count. If your word count is higher than what is listed as an example here, then it will be .015 times your word count.

We will discuss your book, the premise, the themes, and the vibes together! From there I will create mood boards for you using Canva, download them, and send the mood board back to you.

Full Manuscript Developmental Critique – $.015 per word

I will read through your manuscript and provide you with a full developmental edit including in-line edits, comments/notes/feedback with my reactions and thoughts, and an edit letter.

I am editing in MG, YA, and A and will read anything except for Non-Fiction, it’s outside of my wheelhouse. Also, do not send me ANYTHING where a child is hurt in any way (meaning sexual or physical abuse as the main plot of your story). Previous trauma regarding this for your character is okay. Finally, nothing where a pet dies, like a dog or closely loved cow/horse — animal sacrifice for cult related is okay.

A 30-minute AMA/brainstorming call can be added for $100.

Full Manuscript Evaluation Critique – $.01 Per Word

This will be charged at .01¢ per word and will include a general overview of your story i.e. plot, characters, pacing, world-building, and so on. This will include a one-page edit letter but does NOT include any edits/comments on your manuscript document.

Picture Book Critique

Up to 750 Words: $75

Literary Agent Lists

25 AGENTS: $175

I will discuss with you the type of book you are querying (age category, genre, and sub-genres) and then I will compile a list of literary agents from reputable agencies for that are accepting queries in your genre. **THIS IS NOT A REFERRAL TO THOSE AGENTS!!**

This will just help to save you a bit of time and research. The list will be an excel spreadsheet with the agents name, pronouns, their agency, a link to their agency website, a link to their manuscript wishlist, their submission guidelines, a link to their query manager (if applicable) or their email (if applicable).

Book Description Services

Flat Fee: $275

Are you self-publishing and looking for somebody to write the description of your book to hook potential readers? I will help you to write what we call the jacket copy or book description of your story as well as to help you curate some salesy loglines.

To book this service, I will need some form of a query letter and synopsis of your book, soup to nuts, and a fifteen-minute call to discuss more about your book.

Additional services like mood board creations and more can be added on for a fee.

Copywriting and Copyediting Services for Marketing
